Learn to Lindyhop - one of the hottest dances on the scene! Seen in the BBC's "Strictly Dance Fever"
in 2005/06, danced at Hangar Dances across the country, Lindyhop is a wild and heart-pumping form of Jive, danced to lively
music from 1920's big bands to current top action Swing bands.
The
earliest form of Swing / Jive / Rock 'n' Roll, it includes an eclectic mixture of flashy and simple moves, many loosely based
on the dances of the 20's, with an injection of new styling and steps from its resurgence in London in the 80's. It has not
only swept the nation, but is also danced all over the world by many nationalities caught by the bug of this fun and crazy
dance. So, if you love those hip and swing tunes, this is the dance to do.
We
also teach "collegiate shag" classes too - another dance style of the 30's era danced to up-tempo music of a similar
style.
